Hi, I'm JanalynRose. Welcome to the beginning of a life changing experience. I believe in living breath by conscious breath,  manifesting your dreams, following your heart and anticipating joy.  If you can change your breath, you can change your thoughts, and you can change your life. My life's work is to capture beautiful and awe-inspiring moments, practicing this art to deepen the experience of life. I travel to teach, to work, to create, to inspire. I can't wait to change the way you see your beauty and your light. Join Me. On film, on your mat, on retreat, anywhere! Something beautiful is on the horizon.

Janalyn

I love good coffee, warm water waves, clear blue oceans and your smile. I love the sound of the voices of people excited to meet for the first time, nervous on retreat with the taste of adventure in their mouths. I am a lover, not a fighter, I study every word from Thich Nhat Hanh. When I get off of an airplane and the air is thick with the warmth and smell of flowers, I am home.

I believe you can change your life through moment to moment practice. And movement. And the desire to be aware. Each breath is an opportunity to anticipate joy. When you book a photo or video session, hire us for you business development, social media or personal memories, Horizon Light will show you a beauty within you that you had never known.

I am 100% in at all times, heart and very soul. I sing, I dance, I create space. I photograph, I video, I teach yoga, surf, and laugh a lot.

Join us in every part of our journey that inspires you. There is something good on the Horizon.

My parents met 40 years ago working for Eastman Kodak in San Francisco. Growing up, our house was filled with bright yellow boxes of film, and my mom was always behind the lens.

My first camera was an old Polaroid from a thrift store. My second, my mom's Nikkormat, she reluctantly let me borrow for photo journalism classes. My third, a Pentax from Harvard Square, purchased with hundreds of dollar bills earned singing in the subway. My fourth, a Canon DSLR that felt heavy in my hands. My fifth, sixth and seventh, I carry with me every where I go, Canons, with a full frame.

I've been fortunate to travel to beautiful places and meet incredible people along the way. My experience includes filming and photographing weddings in San Diego and around the world, shooting from the surfer's deck of the ASP World Tour of Surfing in Queensland, Australia, hiking through New Zealand with just a backpack and a camera, publications in local magazines for volunteer work with orphans from Tijuana, media work for the Junior Lifeguard Program in San Diego, website additions for the music venue at Humphrey's By the Bay, and thousands of portraits of kids, pets, families, musicians, grads, baby bellies, newborns, and hopefully YOU.

Horizon Light Productions was born through the idea that there is always available light, you just have to find it....
